I have been baking and decorating cakes with my Granny Dean and my Mom (Leasa) since I was tall enough to see over the table. They have taught me just about everything I know about cakes. I absolutely love to bake. There is just something about the way a house smells when someone it busy baking.
Even though I have been playing with cakes since I was a little girl, I still find myself getting stressed with every cake I do. I find that I am way too much of a perfectionist when it comes to the decorating part. If it's not perfect I'm not happy. Which is why I have only charged for one cake in all my years of doing them. This year I have decided to start charging for them, so that I can at least afford my hobby.
In this blog I will tell you all about the things I learn that do and do not work when doing a cake. I will also be informing you on how much it cost me to make the cake and how long I spent on it. My goal is to do a cake every week and try something new with every one.
